Inspiration

"This is my passion: using a vertical loom, I employ the Navajo wedge weave technique that involves weft yarns woven diagonally across the warp yarns to create scallop edges.   Carefully planned or spontaneously, I find this unconventional way of weaving exciting and fulfilling. I usually create postcard size wedge weave designs before weaving large wall hangings. Also use a Hokett small loom to weave woven vessels with wedge weave technique. I believe the wedge weave brings to life the beauty of nature and conveys the creativity of the Navajo culture."
